Two students with their award-winning awards

The third grade students honored their diverse heritage by learning about their ancestors and why they immigrated to the United States.

In their reading anthology, they read about Native Americans, Chinese, African, Polish and Lebanese cultures. They also shared their favorite family traditions during Writers Workshop.

The study culminated on Tuesday, November 22nd, with a pot luck Heritage Celebration Feast that included a variety of food such as mostaccioli, tabbouli, pierogis  and much more.

Thank you to all of the families that supported the celebration and shared their family traditions.
